KCET Karnataka CET 2010

Karnataka Common Entrance Test (CET) is conducted each year for the admission in various undergraduate courses in the colleges and universities across Karnataka. It was conducted by Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA).

Eligibility

1. Pass 10+2 with 50% marks in PCB
2. Should be more than 17 years of age.
3. For engineering courses: Must score 45% marks in Physics, mathematics and any of the Chemistry / Bio-Technology / Computer Science / Electronics / Biology with English

Important dates:

1. Last date for the request of application form by post: Mid Jan 2010
2. The forms should reach the candidate before: First week of Feb 2010
3. Physics and chemistry examination: 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM: 3rd week of April
4. Mathematics examination: Same day: 02:00 PM to 03:20 PM
5. Biology examination: Same day: 04:00 PM to 05:20 PM

Examination Process:

The exam is held in 3 papers. These are as follows:

1. Physics and chemistry examination of 120 marks
2. Mathematics paper which is of 60 marks
3. Biology paper also of 60 marks
